My father was Ernest Edward
(Ted) Hebblethwaite, born in 1907 in Hove, Sussex. I believe his father
was Edwin who died in East London around 1923, but other than the fact
that he married Naomi and had another son, Harold and a daughter Eileen,
I know very little about him. Edwin may have been born in Redcar around
1860-something and may have been a carpenter, although he is rumoured to
have been a "black sheep" and to have spent his inheritance unwisely!!
